Prefill

Privacy Policy

Effective 13 August 2026 (replaces the version of 24 July 2026)

If you are still on Prefill 1.0

This page describes Prefill 1.1, which is with the Chrome Web Store for review. You can check your version at chrome://extensions. Two things below are not yet true of 1.0, and we would rather tell you than let this page flatter us:

Everything else on this page is true of both versions: nothing is transmitted without Premium, and protected-class answers never leave your device in either build.

Prefill is built to keep your data on your own device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and nothing about you is sold or shared. This page explains exactly what the extension stores, what we do collect, and which optional features send data anywhere.

The short version

Who we are

Prefill is published by Nextgen Wellness LLC, a Florida limited liability company in the United States, and is the party responsible for the data described here. For any question about your data, or to have it deleted, email getprefill@gmail.com and you will get an answer within a few days.

What Prefill stores (locally)

Everything below is saved with the browser's chrome.storage.local API on your computer. It is not transmitted to us or anyone else:

You can export or delete this data at any time from the extension, and uninstalling Prefill removes it.

Filling forms

When you click Autofill (or use the keyboard shortcut), Prefill reads the form fields on the page you are viewing and fills them from your local profile. It runs on the current page only when you ask it to. Prefill never submits an application for you. You always review and submit yourself.

Optional Premium AI features

Prefill's free résumé parsing and question matching run entirely on your device. Three optional features, available only with a Prefill Premium license you enter yourself, send data off your device, and only at the moment you use them. Each one is answered by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude), so what you send is processed by software, not read by a person:

In each case the data goes to Prefill's Premium processing endpoint, a small server we run on Cloudflare Workers, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API and returns the result to your device. Prefill does not store the text on a server, and no person at Prefill reads it. Those two companies are the only third parties that ever receive this data, and each processes it under its own terms: see Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Under Anthropic's commercial terms your text is not used to train their models; they may retain it briefly for safety and abuse monitoring. Apart from résumé parsing, where your name is part of the document you chose to upload, we do not send them anything that identifies you.

Protected-class answers are never sent, even with Premium on. Saved answers about race or ethnicity, gender, disability, veteran or military status, pregnancy, marital status, religion, citizenship or immigration status, age or date of birth are filtered out of everything above and stay on your device.

These features are off by default. With no Premium license entered, Prefill sends none of your data anywhere: no profile, no answers, no résumé, nothing about the pages you visit. There is exactly one request it can make before you hold a license, and only if you start a Premium purchase yourself: after you click a checkout button it asks our own server whether your license has been created yet, sending a random one-time reference number and nothing else. It stops as soon as the license arrives, or after fifteen minutes.

Permissions, and why

Limited use of your data

Prefill's use of the information it handles, including any information received from Google APIs, adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your data or transfer it to anyone; we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to assess creditworthiness or for lending. It is used only to produce the result you asked for.

Payments, and the records we do keep

If you subscribe to Prefill Premium, payment is handled by Stripe. Prefill never sees or stores your card details. Stripe processes payments under its own privacy terms.

To know that your license is valid, we keep one small record on our own server for each subscription: your license key, your Stripe subscription ID, the email address you gave at checkout, and the dates it starts and renews. That is the whole record, and we keep it for as long as the subscription exists plus the time our accounts require. It is not linked to your profile, your answers, your résumé or anything you fill in, none of which ever reaches us.

Our server also counts requests so a shared or stolen licence key cannot run up an unlimited bill: a tally per licence per day, and for the one purchase-lookup call that has no licence yet, a tally per IP address. Those counters hold no profile data and are deleted automatically after 48 hours.

Your rights, and how to delete your data

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not profile you.

Children

Prefill is a tool for job seekers and is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we have no way to receive it unless someone under 16 subscribes: the free extension sends us nothing at all. If you believe a child under 16 has given us information, email getprefill@gmail.com and it will be deleted promptly.

Subscriptions and automatic renewal

Prefill Premium is a recurring subscription. Where a free trial is offered, the paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first, and then renews automatically at the price and interval you chose until you cancel. The price, the interval and the trial length are shown before you enter any payment details. Prefill shows you a reminder in the extension before a renewal is charged. You can cancel at any time in Settings, Premium, Manage or switch plan, which opens Stripe's billing portal; cancelling takes the same few clicks as subscribing did, and your access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated and the new version posted here. Using Prefill after that date means the new version applies.
